Lodge Project - Taupo
Rebuild Project
Set within the natural landscape surrounding the iconic Huka Falls, this luxury lodge redevelopment required careful planning and execution to support the transformation of a high-end accommodation destination while preserving the integrity of the existing structure and its unique setting.
Korucon played a key role in the project, coordinating the civil works, AFS walling systems, and associated services trades. Our team delivered all foundations and concrete works, including new floor slabs, basement extensions, and the excavation and construction of foundations and plinths beneath the existing building. These works demanded a high level of coordination and precision to integrate new structural elements with the existing facility.
The project also included the construction of an expansive veranda and associated access steps, installation of precast and in-situ concrete elements, and the delivery of multiple architecturally significant n-situ fireplaces reaching heights of up to six metres.
Throughout the project, Korucon worked closely with the wider consultant and subcontractor team to ensure the quality and craftsmanship expected of a premium hospitality development.
This project highlights our capability to deliver technically complex construction works in sensitive environments, combining strong project coordination, specialist concrete expertise, and attention to detail to achieve an exceptional outcome.
